Membership Information

We are a members only social organization.

There are no guests at The Academy. Each attendee must have a membership. We do not provide a “couple’s rate” and The Academy does not practice gender based pricing.

Everyone is treated the same. When you enter the lobby, the new member line is on the right side of the counter. Please fill out an application form, both sides, leaving the Blue area blank. You may also print a Membership Form using the link below and bring it with you.

All New Members must have a current government-issued photo ID and attend the AFA Orientation Class. The class is offered at 6:30 pm on Saturday nights before our regular events. Doors open for new members at 6:00 pm to allow time to fill out and process the membership application. The government-issued photo ID is used to run an RSO (registered sex offender) check and to confirm that you have filled in the appropriate information on your application. The Membership Form must be signed or initialed in all the required areas. AFA membership has an annual fee of $60 cash ($62 cc) with $20 cash ($21 cc) to attend weekly Saturday Night Parties. (First party dues are waived for new members that purchase an annual membership as a thank you for attending the required Orientation class.) Cash or credit card is now accepted for payment. Your Official AFA Membership Card can be picked up at the front desk on your way out. The Membership card is used, in lieu of your picture ID, for future admissions to events.

What do I need to join?

You must be at least 19 years old. Bring a valid state ID, and your membership fee ($60) in cash or ($62) for credit card. You do not need to preregister. You must attend a New Member Orientation before becoming a member. These are offered at 6:30 pm on regular event nights. Doors open at 6:00 pm to new members to allow time to fill out and process the membership application. NOTE: Any person listed in the National Registered Sexual Offenders database will not be admitted.

How much is it?

Our annual membership costs $60 ($62 cc). The Party Dues are currently $20 ($21 cc), (first party dues are waived for new members purchasing an annual membership as a thank you for attending the required New Member Orientation session). The Academy accepts cash and credit cards.

Why are you members only?

It isn’t about being exclusionary – by any means. In fact, “Inclusion” is part of our logo and our mission statement. It is simply about the laws of Cleveland and the State of Ohio. Our legal team informed us that allowing “guests” would make us “open to the public”, as in a “live porno theater”. You may have noticed, they don’t license that in Cleveland.

As a private “Members Only” social organization, what we do behind our doors is nobody’s business but our own. It is simply “fellowship” among our members. That’s why The Academy has gone through the trouble of being a “Members Only” facility. Inside you are free to express yourself naturally, fully and safely.
