Thank you all so very much for the warm welcome last night. I had the jitters all the way there, but from the moment I walked in the door, I felt at home. It was fantastic meeting you all! I hope to be back again soon! I mean, I simply must spend more time in the littles room! 🙂 So. Amazing. 🙂
I have talked with several new people and all of them have said what a great place the AFA is. The people are friendly, the board and staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. I love hearing this from them. The joy I receive from these words confirms that this is home. This is my place to be.
I want to thank all the incredible people who work hard to make things run smoothly. First the Board. All those long meetings I’ve heard about. Giving of your free time while working too! I hope you are not too worn out to play too. lol Next the crew that makes sure that the space is clean and safe for parties. Hard work that attendees never see , but is an essential part of keeping things up and running.
On behalf of partner and myself, I would like to thank you for the welcome and camaraderie we received Saturday night. It has been several years since we’ve had a community to call “home”; it seems as though we may have found that with you!
Glad I made the decision to come after work last night! Had the most amazing time!!!! Thanks to everyone that I talked to the last week & everyone I met last night, you are all awesome. Now that I won’t be scared (lmao) I definitely plan on being back within the next week or 2! 🙂 if we met last night definitely send me a friend request! Can’t wait to see y’all again ASAP.
How exciting it is to have a chance to make new friends~ I’ve only been at the academy for about 3 months now but it has become my sanctuary and home. Don’t feel any pressure to play right away, watching and seeing the magic that the Academy harbors unfold is fun in itself!
There is nothing to be scared of or worried about, everyone there either is thinking what you are thinking or has thought it, and have been a new person themselves once.
