The Academy of Fetish Arts (The Academy or AFA) is the one of the largest, most inclusive facility of its kind in northeast Ohio, The Academy was created as a gathering & play space for ALL of the kinky people and groups in N.E. Ohio and surrounding states – ages 19 and over. From its location, to its parking, to its many play spaces and gathering places, The Academy has been designed with the kinky commUNITY in mind.

The Academy is located at 2615 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114; in a 6500 sq ft facility near downtown Cleveland, just off the I-90 Innerbelt freeway on the northeast corner of E26th and Lakeside. We provide ample, free, onsite, lighted, monitored parking, (including the fenced lot next door), and can park over 100 cars. Come into The Academy via the glass front of the building with red and black curtains, Building C.

Enter our spacious lobby to be greeted by our wonderful volunteers and staff who will help you with membership and admissions business. All new members will be given a guided tour as part of our New Member Orientation, which occurs half-an-hour before our regular events begin.

The Academy is made up of a 2000 sq ft fully equipped main dungeon surrounded by multiple special-use playrooms including The Littles Play Room, a playroom for littles, adult babies & pets; Hell’s Gate, a dedicated multiple tabled room for fire play; The Principal’s Office, an office-interrogation role-play room; The Pain Clinic, our medical play/needle play room; and four (semi-private/private) bedrooms for aftercare, private time or whatever your heart desires. Photography is permitted in all side with a signed release from everyone in the room and a MOD or Staff present. The Academy offers a co-ed changing room with lockers. You may bring your own lock or acquire one at the front desk for a small donation. Sorry, no overnight storage is allowed; Clean, modern restroom facilities; a conference/classroom/multipurpose room that will accommodate 30+; and a Social Lounge with adjacent Breakroom for eating, drinking (no alcohol), and socializing as well as a safe space away from play.

We are firm believers in “Informed, Enthusiastic Consent”. Should you have questions, our trained and experienced play monitors are present at all times. Feel free to engage them.

Playing is more fun at The Academy. When you have finished your scene, please clean up your scene space, including an bodily fluids, and put any disposables and linen in the appropriate receptacle. Our concierge team will then handle the surface sanitation, so you don’t have to and replace the linens, after you play. Please note that The Academy has no paid employees. Everyone serving is a volunteer. We also provide special spaces for more intimate aftercare. Please be respectful of the posted time limits in the five opaque curtained private rooms.

Please do not use adjacent play spaces to hold your toy bag or personal items. Please do not “reserve” a play space by leaving your personal items in that space either before or after you play. These behaviors limit the opportunities for all of our members to play.

For our smoking members or if you need a breath of “fresh air”, there is an outdoor area with a fire pit and covered to protect you from the elements.

Please pick up after yourself in the breakroom and the lounge as well as the playspace. You can help us recycle. Please empty and crush your soda cans and plastic water bottles and deposit them in our recycle bin next to kitchen sink. In the unlikely event that you notice that community supplies are getting low, please notify a community partner.
