AFA Sunday October 26th Rope Group
Come on out and join us on Sunday from 2 – 5 pm for our monthly Rope Group, led by Jareball.
October’s Topic:
Oh Sh*t… What to Do When Things Go Wrong
Rope bondage can be an incredible experience—but even with care, unexpected situations can happen. This class is all about preparing for them.
Join us for a hands-on discussion of practical techniques to manage common rope emergencies. We’ll cover:
-When and how to safely cut rope
-The role of spotters and how to use them effectively
-How and when to use a marlin spike
-Tips for staying calm and making quick, informed decisions
Whether you’re new to rope or an experienced rigger, this session will help you build confidence and skills to keep your play safer and more enjoyable.

There will still be plenty of space and time for open tie/skill share. It is great to see people helping each other out and trying new things in a supportive environment. If you see someone doing something you would like to learn, ask if they would be willing to show you. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
If anyone would like to teach a planned class or host a discussion topic, please let Jareball know and he’ll make space for that in the future.
Remember to bring:
-AFA membership card
-A good attitude
